BECO Plush Disposable Review: A Top Shelf Disposable?

Becovape is a new name in disposable vapes. Technically, most vapers have heard of them in a roundabout way, if you know Vaptio. It’s a brand either in association with or just Vaptio themselves. In the past few years, Vaptio has cemented itself as a reputable vape brand. Maybe that carries over to Becovape.

The BECO Plush is a disposable vape with a loose MTL draw, a 1.0-ohm mesh coil atomizer, and a dual-airflow system for creating larger clouds. The capacity is rated at an impressive 8000 puffs from an 800 mAh battery. It comes in 12 flavors, all 50 mg/mL, and holds 16 mL of e-juice.

So, is the BECO Plush the next disposable you should try? Let’s see about that.

Size, look, and feel

The BECO Plush is a solid disposable with a noticeable heft, weighing about 70 grams. The exterior is a C-frame but a tad larger than other disposables like the Freemax Friobar. The weight and size of the BECO Plush are clear signs of a larger battery. But note, this is not the type of disposable you can carry in your mouth while taking a hit. It’s a bit too heavy for that.

One aspect of the BECO Plush that I really like is its overall look. It’s got a mature and slightly retro aesthetic. It reminds me of something from the 80s, where “plush” wasn’t really plush, and the colors were muted. It’s got a soft, matte plastic exterior with an eco-leather (“pleather”) decal, incorporating a linen-texture for grip.

The devices come in either black or white, with muted colors (on the texturized decal) suggestive of the flavors. Again, the word “plush” seems a bit tongue-in-cheek, yet the device also has a higher level of quality to it than you’d expect.

I don’t have any gripes about the size, look, or feel of the BECO Plush. I do wish I could hold it in my mouth while gaming or typing. Other than it being a bit heavier than your typical disposable, I would much rather carry these over almost all other disposables that look like toys. These look like little box mods.

Getting started

Same as with other disposables; open the box and get to vaping. There is no charge cord in the box, though the BECO Plush can be recharged via a USB-C cord. The devices should come completely charged out of the box, but you’re free to plug it in and make sure (in retrospect, I question if all mine were actually fully charged after opening). If a blue activation light comes on when you plug it up, that means it can still be charged some.

How does it hit?

The BECO Plush has a smooth, mostly quiet, loose MTL hit from a 1.0-ohm mesh coil. I was surprised after vaping on them after a day because I hadn’t really noticed that they were a loose MTL draw, just that I was able to take big hits, and the clouds were quite dense for a disposable.

If you’re used to tight draws like on the Elf Bar BC5000, you will have to adjust some. You can hit the BECO Plush with a strict MTL draw, but the vapor will suffer, and the hit will feel anemic. With a loose MTL draw, the vapor is plenty, and the hit is full.

It seems counterintuitive to have a loose MTL draw with such high nic. Somehow, the device doesn’t produce hits that are too harsh. I think they’re just right. The throat hit is present but not overpowering, and I haven’t taken a hit that made me cough—which is what I’d expect from a loose MTL draw with 50 mg nic.

The only negative I’d say about the draw is that of all the BECO Plush devices I was sent, some had a looser MTL draw than others. Granted, they are all loose MTL draws, it’s just that the dual-airflow (which I can’t really quantify) seems to be a tad inconsistent from device to device. Not a biggie or even a con, but worth mentioning.

BECO Plush best flavors

All in all, I think the flavors are quite good. I’ve been having bad experiences with disposables lately, and it was refreshing to receive some that actually have their own character. A lot of disposables frankly taste like they have the same juice inside. BECO Vape carries 12 flavors specializing in fruit mixes, with a couple of classics like Cuban tobacco and fresh mint.  These are my five favorites, and a few others worth mentioning.

Cherry lemon

A lively flavor that will make your mouth water and pucker! The cherry tastes natural and goes great with the tart lemon. There’s a medium-to-high level of cooling that goes well with the flavor. A delightful flavor.

Peach ice

Aromatic and moderately sweet. An accurate peach taste (not peach candy,) with a healthy dose of cooling. It’s a popular flavor that appears in a lot of disposables, but I think this is a stellar peach ice. Very flavorful.

Sakura grapes

A sweet and juicy green grape flavor with a subtle floral note, followed by a moderately cool finish. A beautiful flavor.

Cherry pomegranate

Again, the cherry shines. Very flavorful! It’s difficult to say where the cherry ends and the pomegranate begins, but well-done fruit mix for fans of sweet/tart flavors. High cooling.

Lime mojito

A zesty lime and mint flavor, reminiscent of a lime cocktail but without the alcohol taste. It’s sweet and refreshing from the mint and bright and tart from the lime. It’s a tasty flavor for mature audiences. I enjoy vaping this in bed while reading.

Although not on my favorites list, the following flavors deserved a mention.

Cuba tobacco

The Cuba tobacco is very aromatic and tastes like a sweet and dry cigar (no cooling notes). It’s about as close as you can get to a cigar taste in a disposable! Slight hint of vanilla mixed tobacco and cigar paper.

Fresh mint

It’s quite good, but it’s still mint mix. Hard to say much more than it’s a good one.

Mango peach pineapple

The peach and pineapple are great, but the mango kinda has that green taste that bullies the other flavors. This was the first one I tried and the one I liked the least. I’ve actually started to enjoy it a bit now, but it’s still not one I’d recommend over any of the others.

How long do they last?

The BECO Plush disposable boasts an 800 mAh battery, which surpassed a full day of usage for me. Furthermore, it features a substantial onboard capacity of 16 mL of e-juice, which seems to be quite accurate.

After charging a BECO Plush once, you can still use up a whole other charge before the juice starts to run out. Rarely with disposables do I ever need more than one charge.

For life span (juice plus battery life,) the BECO Plush outperforms my previous experiences with other disposables in its relative size range (the BC5000 competition).

When it’s time to charge the BECO Plush, simply plug in the device to any USB-C compatible power source. The time to charge is approximately 90 minutes. While the device is charging, the blue indicator light on the bottom of the device will stay lit. It turns off once the charge is complete. Unfortunately, there is no pass-thru charging.

Verdict

The BECO Plush is a really good line of disposable vapes. The only thing that might trip you up is the draw, which is not a strict MTL. Most of the other disposables on the market, even the ones with adjustable airflow, are best suited for strict MTL vaping. Not the BECO Plush. It’s not a cloud disposable per se, but it’s best suited for bigger hits than the typical quick puff of something like an Elf Bar.

If you don’t mind a loose MTL draw, the BECO Plush is gonna be hard to beat. The flavors are done well, the device looks and feels good in the hand, and you can get about two charge cycles. The BECO Plush is more expensive than other disposables though ($29.99 according to BECO’s shop.) I’d say they’re at least 2x as good as many others I’ve tried, but I don’t know if I’d want to pay 2x the price. That’s going to come down to your vape budget.
